What to wear in a Winter Wedding Collaboration

December 14, 2015

Hello Monday! I hope you had a great weekend and that your upcoming week is good as we zero in closer to Christmas, which is hard to believe. Today I am participating in a blog hop with several other lovely fashionistas as we bring you several ideas for looking stylish for winter weddings.

Wedding Up Close

Now to be honest I have only attended one winter wedding in my entire life so coming up with what to wear for this little collaboration was tough. I pinned winter wedding looks on Pinterest and kept seeing grays, burgundys, blacks, tulle skirts and dresses and frou frou. I was obviously overthinking everything and decided to just go with what I know I would wear, not what Pinterest suggested. However, it was a great motivator to consider colors to use.

I choose to wear this navy colored eyelet dress after it had sat in my closet since my Birthday. This dress became the central starting point for how to dress for the wedding.

Because it is winter time, tights for me are essential with dresses, so these gray ones I got from Target last year did the trick to complement the blue and black color palette. These heels added a modest yet feminine touch.

I added a comfortable black cardigan that made the look more slimming and modest and complimentary jewelry to complete the layers of this look.

There you have it, easy breezy and comfortable to wear for a winter wedding. I hope you will take a look at how the other bloggers (their blog links located under their photos) below got ready for a winter wedding. I just love these and how differently stylish we look, which is the beauty of style and fashion.

That’s a cute look. I attended a wedding over thanksgiving, and I decided to go with pants because I just wasn’t sure. I think if it were a wedding I was going to without kids and planned on staying and having fun, I would have dressed it up a little. I looked at Pinterest to figure out what to wear, and I admit I struggled a little, too!

I love your winter wedding look. It’s been a while since I’ve been to a winter wedding. The one I can recall was on New Year’s eve so it made it a little easier since you could wear a New Year’s eve look to the wedding. The blue color you chose is great. I love that it is something different than black.

I love this look, Rachel! And I commend you for not wearing what Pinterest suggested, but what you wanted to wear. I struggle with this sometimes.

You know I love this textured blue dress of yours and dark blue with black is a great combination for Winter. This was such a nice wedding look. I agree with you and mentioned in my post that textured materials are fun and perfect for the holiday dressing. Your hair and makeup look particularly nice.

I had so much fun doing another wedding collaboration. We shall do it again in Spring.
