Trenching in Summer & Link up

June 21, 2016

Recently my husband and I had a date night and decided to visit a new-to-me local coffee shop (that I adore already) followed by a brunch. On our way to the coffee shop my husband asked why I was bringing a trench coat along? My response “because coffee shops tend to be on the chilly side.  AND a recent blogger inspired me” (see first featured blogger below for the link up).  My husband disregarding my answer kept taunting me with “but it’s 95 degrees outside” and then threatened to post how crazy I was on his Facebook. He never posted my “crazy” fashion outburst, but the taunting still continued.

Sometimes you just have to deal with the tauntings of a photographer.. I mean hubby and just go with what makes you feel great, confident and comfortable. To my dismay the coffee shop wasn’t chilly (unlike Starbucks) and we enjoyed our coffee time and further photo takings inside.

No trench inside for me. But at least I could look good for you right?

Hahaahaa, the crazy things we do for fashion. Sometimes I find myself wishing for just a little cold so I can have an excuse to layer up just for style. The outfit looks great and the trench coat and those super cute heels definitely added a nice touch to the tee and denim look.

My husband and I went to dinner and mall shopping yesterday and I took a sweater even though it was 90 degrees out. My hubs also thought I was crazy. And I didn’t need my sweater after all either! But I had it just in case! And you look super chic in your trench regardless of how crazy your husband thinks you are!

  • Emma Peach June 21, 2016 at 6:49 am

Shops can have fierce air con so you really feel the difference in temperature when it’s warm outside. I don’t think men feel the cold as much as women, my husband wears a t-shirt all year round while I’m still wearing a coat in Summer – but then the UK weather is all over the place. A trench is a very useful item to have for when it’s too warm for a coat. I love the soft blush shade of yours. Your hair looks lovely 🙂
