I hope everyone had a fun and relaxing weekend and for many of you today is an off of work day- not this momma! haha! This post will be short and sweet since you all have an “off” day and are hopefully spending it with family and friends as well as remembering those close that you perhaps lost and loved in service.
Loving this red and white tie dye tee with denim combination for memorial day weekend festivities. I actually wore this to my father-in-laws Birthday lunch/dinner with his friends and our family members and for running errands on Saturday.
We got some lovely photos taken of our loved ones and here is a nice one my mother-in-law took of us. After dinner at a homestyle restaurant I witnessed as a group of elderly families released from wrapped bags some colorful/birthday balloons into the air, I guess to remember those they loved and lost. It was a touching scene that I wish I had photographed but with chasing run away kids I didn’t get the opportunity too. While I lost some family members who served I am grateful for ways in which we can remember them, from looking at their pictures to remembering the memories we had together.
“Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” (John 15:13).
How do you remember those you lost who served? Or what memories do you have?
