As a former teacher nothing thrilled me more than getting a teacher welcome package from colleagues (especially when I became a first year teacher) or a gift from parents.

Since Nevaeh is about to start Kindergarten in a few weeks I thought it would be nice to give her own teacher a gift basket of goodies.

Hand santizer and some herbal tea packets.
A teachers note, sticky notes packet and a child friendly stickers book.

This is a close up of the teacher card to write a handwritten note in.

A compilation of everything in a basket I got in a pack from the Dollar Tree.

These are some goodies I rounded up from the Dollar Tree, or had on hand (teacher card and sticky notes) from my days of teaching. You could get the teacher anything. From pencils, pens, tape and staples. Anything that you think would make the teacher feel special.

I have teamed up today with 11 other bloggers. Each of us are sharing a super fun “Back to School” themed idea today.

I don’t usually do beginning of the school year gifts, but this is really a fantastic idea and doesn’t look too expensive either. I do usually give gifts for Christmas and on teacher appreciation day! 🙂

Thanks for the tips, Rachel. Proves that a teacher gift doesn’t have to be elaborate to make her/him feel special.
