$10 Budget for Target and what I bought in January

January 18, 2016

Today I have joined my good friend Becky and a few other bloggers for a blog hop where we buy “fun” or “splurge” items at Target with a budget of $10 for the month of January (see my November and December $10 Budget at Target posts also). This does not include Starbucks, groceries needed or meals but rather items we consider fun or perhaps had on our wishlists.

Before I show you what I purchased I must convey a few things. First of all, everything I bought here I actually needed (but in a fun, cheap way).  Secondly I did not save the receipts or take photos of the receipts so you will just have to trust me that the products are the price that they are. Finally I accumulated these goods over a period of three trips- I love Target that much so I didn’t buy these items all together.

Ready to see what I bought?

This new year I wanted to begin getting more organized so below are a few things I got at Target to help me with that.

I just loved this planner the moment I saw it in early December, but waited for awhile, almost last minute to buy it. It was $7.99 but I got 5% percent off of it thanks to my RED card. I use the planner for daily appointments and blogging post dates. This even fits in my purse and goes with me everywhere.

Next I purchased this clipboard/book that contains pockets and paper inside for notes and what not and it was $3 in the Target Hot Spot bins  It came with this lovely pad of paper as well with cute gold chevron patterns at the top. I thought this would be the perfect organizer to keep up with notes I have for blogging or planning and I find the pockets useful for holding receipts or print outs of important blogging e-mails or contracts (since I will need this stuff come tax season).  Plus I love the gold and pink and what do you know these match the planner (purely by accident as these were bought during separate trips).

These items together total a little over $10 with tax but they serve a great purpose for keeping me organized this month/year.
