Summer to Fall Mint dress, beachy waves + Link up

September 22, 2015

Today’s post is quite a treat as not only is it link up day but I want to share with you a way I transitioned my mint dress from summer to fall and how I recently began giving myself beachy waves (loooovvee this).

Styling a Mint dress in the Summer:

From this post here, you see that for my summer look I went for matching mint sandaled heels, bracelet and an added statement necklace to make a summery statement. To get the most of my wardrobe I decided to find a way to style my mint dress for fall appropriate weather too.

Styling a mint dress for the Fall:

To accomplish this fall look, trade in the sandals and statement necklace for a fun and colorful scarf and complimentary ankle booties. To further enhance this look for fall a grey cardigan could have been added or tights.

I am obsessed with trying new things with my hair and thanks to my new  Sapphire 8 in 1 curling wand, courtesy of Irresistable Me, I can do just that. Some of you might be wondering, “Rachel isn’t your hair naturally curly?” my answer: yes, but sometimes when I straighten it I want to add some waves or little curls here and there. For this particular day and outfit I straightened my hair and then choose 1 of the 8 barrels and that was the 19 M/M to use through my hair for a more beachy wave look. See my curly hair, straight hair and wavy hair comparisons below:

Naturally curly:

Straightened out:

Beach waves using the Sapphire 8-in-1 curling wand (19 M/M barrell):

I love how there are so many new options for styling my hair when I do straighten it, thanks to my new set. Check out what all came with my Sapphire 8 in 1 curling wand kit below:

A travel case with compartments for every wand, curling iron base, safety glove, base to hold the wand and 8 interchangeable and different sized barrels to lock in place on the wand as desired.

Overall I don’t have any complaints except how hard it can be to lock the wand in place at first as it takes some playing around with. I do love that it takes less than a minute to heat up to my desired 450 degrees and I love the safety glove for protection against burns.

So there you have it, a mint dress from Summer to Fall and beachy waves.
