Styling a crop top for cooler weather & link up

November 17, 2015

Happy Tuesday! Welcome to another “Bloggers Who Have Inspired Me” post and link up. I am so glad you all come by every Tuesday and link up here and I thank my co-hosts for being awesome and working with me each week. I really appreciate you all. I must announce that there will be no link up next week as I want all of you to enjoy your families and Thanksgiving. The link up and my featured five from this post will resume again Tuesday, December 1 so I would love to see your links again and five of you will be featured from this link-up.

Now on to todays post:

Believe it or not this lovely designed top is a crop top. I received it this past June from Target in collaboration with and styled it then with shorts and wedges. However, thanks to my trusty high waisted pants and a new cardigan I got from Old Navy the crop top almost appears to be well-not a crop top.

I have a new found love for crop tops and this one shown today started that love. I can’t wait to show you my new crop top from Target in collaboration with Brandzaffair in a few weeks, but you will just have to come back by often to see what I got and how I styled it.

IMG_3626Sorry for the lack of images but my hair  was everywhere because of the breeze and the hubby was tired so you get a goof ball shot at the end just because I love you all.

How do you style a crop top for cooler weather?

Outfit details: Crop top: c/o Mossimo Target via Brandzaffair (sold out, similar here)//Cardigan: Old Navy (same here)//Flats: similar here//Pants: Mossimo (similar here)

Now on to the featured five from last week and link up:

Ashleigh shared a post on how she styled a summer dress three ways for the fall. I definitely can’t wait to try this look.

Each week Riva links up some of the lovliest DIY fashion inspired posts where she takes something hot and trendy now and does it herself. In this post she recreates Tom Ford fringe earrings and believe me it is so simple I want to go get supplies now and do this myself. See tutorial here.

Rachel linked up an outfit that I have secretly been eyeing and loving for weeks now. The whole outfit screams LOVE. See why she choose trousers here.

Many of you know by now that I am BIG fan of cobalt blue (hence the cobalt blue in my shoes above and details of it in the crop top) so when Tiina linked up how she styled some cobalt blue I automatically loved the cardigan mixed with tartan plaid look. See post here.

Andrea creates some of the most creative and delicious looking recipes I have ever laid my eyes on, and these Gobble Gobble Turkey Treat cups are just the cutest.

  • Tea November 17, 2015 at 11:13 am

I really love the look of a crop top with a highwaisted pant or skirt. It gives the fun option of the crop top style while still being covered and comfortable! I know for me personally, my days of having my belly exposed are past, lol.
Love this look on you – and I love your “outtake” pic! It’s adorable!
