Every Spring I like to assess my closet or drawers and make a note in my phone under “notes” of items I need to invest in or be on the look out for as I build on my Spring wear wardrobe. Recently I remembered my notes section on my phone and taking a look at it I realized I was in the need for more colorful heels or wedges along with more Spring friendly bottoms and a few light weight tops. While taking a peek at my notes I happened upon thredUp.com while doing my normal online shopping routine. I have always enjoyed finding like-new items on this online consignment type store and in the past have found quite a few nice things from heels, flats and a workout shirt. This time I was pumped to see what I could find so as to delete some notes in my app and feel more equipped for Spring wear.
I created an account a while back with thredUp as it helped with the experience feeling more personalized and I was able to find items that fit my size, brand, style or price preference. I signed in and began my shopping and found 5 items I couldn’t wait to receive in the cute polka dot box that arrives each time I shop.
A few days later I received my little “polka dot” box and began the unboxing process. I made a GIF video for you to view the process and items I received.
If you can’t view some of the items in the GIF video then don’t worry as I will be wearing them below.
One of the items I really wanted was a pair of colored heels or wedges (like I mentioned above) and these wedged slip-ons originally $74.00 from Ann Taylor were marked down 71% off retail and only $20.99 and in like-new condition with no marks or wear.
I was in need of more warmer weather bottoms and found these brand-new with tags Forever 21 leopard heart print dressy shorts for $6.99 as they were originally $17.80 as retail price, so that is 60% off. I didn’t know how these would fit when looking at it online but I ordered them anyway as thredUp listed there was an elastic band for easy stretch and they fit perfectly.
Another bottom set I got was this Philosophy Republic black stretch skirt, retailed at $36.oo but marked down 73% and making it $9.49.
Next I received two tops. One was dressier than the other but both are nice to have as they are spring colored tops.
With the color Blue being a HOT color for Spring and as Blue is my favorite color to wear no matter the season I was pleased to find this Gap 3/4 sleeve tee (in a mint blue color) for $6.99, orginally $23.00.
Lastly, this scoop neck hot pink 3/4 sleeve tee with designs was $9.99 marked down from $36.00 and became the item to wear the first day I got my box.
I love these items and as you can note almost all of them were between 60%-72% off retail price which is a real deal compared to some consignment or secondhand stores and thredUp can be shopped from the comfort of your own home too. Through thredUp you can shop for kids, maternity, designers as well as women’s clothing and accessories and get as great or even better deals than I did.
PLUS you can get 21% off your first purchase from thredUp.com with the following code BHX21. So let me know what you will be buying! Leave me a comment and tell me.
