How was your Valentines day? Did you do anything extraordinary or what did you get to do or get gifted? If you saw on Instagram you may have noticed what my hubby got me and the funny surprise along with it. Never a dull moment if I say so LOL!!!

Today was suppose to be our date day for Valentines as this past weekend we didn’t get a chance, BUT we got hit with 9 inches plus of snow and mixed ice yesterday, so we may just watch a show tonight as we will be snowed in for today and the good part of tomorrow. BOOO! At least we have each other and the warmth of our home.

Anyway, my hubby and I are styling spring transitional pieces for you today. If you remember from our last post we styled plaid and my hubby presented a surprise for you. Moving on though. In the winter time I rarely wear necklaces or even jewelry  as  my attention is on layering pieces such as heavy cardigans and scarves, but hello, spring is coming shortly and its time to start dressing down the layers as much as I can and as the weather permits.

Here I dug out my favorite statement necklace and wore the vest for the sake of it was cold outside, but the look would have done great without it as well.

This look was fun to wear as it included my favorite wardrobe staple, chambray mixed with some new denim jeggings, and touches of white that I felt created a fun spring transitional look. It was nice to wear brighter colors for once.

My hubby decided on sporting a polo jacket over tee, with denim and sperrys for a relaxed welcoming of spring look as well. The items on my hubby were actually Christmas gifts from different family members so he is glad to finally wear and love them.

I think he loves them too much.

Love your transitional pieces for spring! Your vest is especially lovely! It is 90 degrees here in Los Angles so I am afraid that we have transitioned from winter to summer in just a matter of days. Thanks for featuring me in today’s post and hosting!

This is the time of year we’re getting fed up with winter and can’t wait for spring! I also tend to not wear much jewellery in winter and then it’s so much fun rediscovering necklaces to wear with spring clothes.

It is funny that you mentioned jewelry because it is ALL your pretty jewelry I loved from this outfit right away. It dresses up the denim-on-denim look with the shaggy ecru vest. Love that your husband color coordinated with you and nice touch with the red roses in the pretty vase for Valentine’s. Where did you guys take these photos? I love the place.

  • Debbie Stinedurf February 16, 2016 at 6:27 am

I love that vest Rachel! I don’t have a lighter colored one and this one is just beautiful. Sometimes being snowed in together is way better than going out…kind of cozy and romantic; once the kids are in bed that is! Thank you so much for choosing me as one of your favorites last week. 🙂
