How was your Valentines day? Did you do anything extraordinary or what did you get to do or get gifted? If you saw on Instagram you may have noticed what my hubby got me and the funny surprise along with it. Never a dull moment if I say so LOL!!!
Today was suppose to be our date day for Valentines as this past weekend we didn’t get a chance, BUT we got hit with 9 inches plus of snow and mixed ice yesterday, so we may just watch a show tonight as we will be snowed in for today and the good part of tomorrow. BOOO! At least we have each other and the warmth of our home.
Anyway, my hubby and I are styling spring transitional pieces for you today. If you remember from our last post we styled plaid and my hubby presented a surprise for you. Moving on though. In the winter time I rarely wear necklaces or even jewelry as my attention is on layering pieces such as heavy cardigans and scarves, but hello, spring is coming shortly and its time to start dressing down the layers as much as I can and as the weather permits.
Here I dug out my favorite statement necklace and wore the vest for the sake of it was cold outside, but the look would have done great without it as well.
This look was fun to wear as it included my favorite wardrobe staple, chambray mixed with some new denim jeggings, and touches of white that I felt created a fun spring transitional look. It was nice to wear brighter colors for once.
My hubby decided on sporting a polo jacket over tee, with denim and sperrys for a relaxed welcoming of spring look as well. The items on my hubby were actually Christmas gifts from different family members so he is glad to finally wear and love them.
I think he loves them too much.

Carrying on with sequins in mind, I love how Katie styles her sequin bottoms with the unexpected yet awesome art of print mixing. See look here.
Something about Marys look inspired me to think of other ways to style for winter storms and weather. See look here.
