Pray, be thankful and drink lots of coffee

July 20, 2015

I thank God for the power of prayer as I know that He hears and answers in His own time. I also thank God for coffee and lots of it.

I thank God for the wonderful weather in this post as it was morning time before church and everyone in my family was in a great mood before church (something I am so thankful for as of late).

I thank God for a wonderful church family and the opportunity to serve and worship Him freely!

I am choosing in this post to be thankful because these past few weeks I have been griping and non-stop worrying. I know I did some posts in the past on worry but sometimes the spirit of worry consumes me and ruins my day, my every moment. We have had a lot happen the past two months and somehow I know it is trying our faith and making us go to God more than ever.

Philippians 4:6 ESV- Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.

I am once again choosing to trust God, keep praying and keep up the coffee drinking.

What are you thankful for?

That’s pretty much my favorite bible passage there! I think I kept verses 4-8 written all around me so often through the years whenever I was dealing with worry or harder times. I helps so much to be reminded some days that focusing on the good things, being thankful, while trusting God has our hearts in his hands. πŸ™‚

First of all I will keep you in my prayers. I am a big worrier, too. Secondly, I always love you in yellow and/or white. That top is so fresh and pretty. Thirdly, I had trouble with my e-mail address for a few days so if you e-mailed me for a Guest Post I never saw the e-mail. Please e-mail me ASAP today if you still like to Guest Post. Thanks so much.

I need to start the day with a gratitude list lately because from all the worrying and griping I’ve done this month you would think I don’t have anything to say thank you about! I am also very thankful for coffee. And chocolate. Chocolate coffee is amazing.

You look so happy and at peace in this post! Worry can consume you and its just not worth it. I tend to worry a lot, too, it is hard when multiple things happen that are hard to overlook or if there is something out of your control. I think as a mother I worry even more, since its not just me that I’m responsible for… Yellow is so pretty on you!!

What a sweet post! I’ve definitely got the coffee part down! I would be a complete zombie without it. I’m mostly thankful for my belief that everything works out for the best. My life has been so uncertain and unpredictable lately, but I really try to maintain my belief that everything happens for a reason and that I’m on the path I’m meant to be on.
