Walking, trespassing & link up

October 20, 2015

Thank you for the love in yesterdays post about my recent makeover. I am just blessed to have this hair color now and can’t get enough of it.  Now on to today’s post on walking and trespassing. Yes, trespassing to take blog photos and there is more but first I was lucky to have a little walk with the hubby on the road where his parents live (his parents watched the kids for us) and we talked about memories walking on the lane when we decided to take some outfit shots.

IMG_3334 IMG_3338 IMG_3339

We stopped by a fence of one of the neighbors and Chantry had me stand and pose in front of it. Then he told me to go behind the fence for a post to which I said “that’s trespassing and there is barbwire on the back” and he said “let’s open up the gate and let you in, there are no animals near by.” I accepted but told him to hurry up because we were trespassing on someone else’s property and the house of the owners was nearby.

IMG_3341 Then hurrying I exited the gated area and we began to walk when we both heard a creak of a porch door and a big guy (owner of the field, fence) made his presence on the porch of the house and he looked puzzled and a bit annoyed so my husband calls out “my wife is a fashion blogger, so I got some pictures of her.” the guy had my husband repeat and then the guy gave a ‘thumbs up and went back into his house. Whew, we trespassed on his field and we got a thumbs up. Awesome! This wasn’t the first time my husband was asked what we were doing for blog photos.

So we made our way to a field in front of a barn and took some of these next few photos and while we were also trespassing no one came and stopped us. Living dangerously here you all. You would think we would have learned the first time. Thumbs up to that.

It was such a nice cool day to wear this plaid scarf I dug out from my scarf collection, but it was also fun to pose without wearing it as well. I think the top and scarf go perfectly together and the boot cut jeans and boots just add to the country girl/barn lady look. What do you think?

Have you trespassed to take photos before? What happened? Did you get caught?

Ana’s look is perfect for a date night, I just adore this sweater dress on her and reminisced to my sweater dress days. See look here.

I have been learning a lot about braids and since getting my hair makeover I needed more ideas for braids and loved the photos and video tutorial that Carly posted on creating this Double Dutch Braid. Check the video out here.

Happy Birthday to Monica! This post celebrates not only her birthday but everyone and thing that she is thankful for. I love how she is thankful of things past and present I would have never thought could shape and mold us to be better but Monica sure touches on the subject here.

Ann posted on how we must view ourselves for who we are and what we love noting that she (and we) can be insecure but need to realize we are what we are and should appreciate that. I love her confidence and thoughts in this post as she always goes in to how much she loves fashion, style and even her shoes and whole look here. Be encouraged here.

First and foremost thank you for the feature, that’s very sweet of you 🙂 Second, you have no idea how many times I’ve trespassed to get a good blogging picture haha! Thankfully I haven’t gotten caught but lately depending on the spot I’ll just ask and say “hey, I’m a blogger and would like to take a picture” and usually the people are ok with it. I do love your outfit though, the colors are perfect for fall!

This is the perfect fall look–I love that scarf and the color of your shirt! That’s too funny about that guy giving you the thumbs up for trespassing on his land. I’ve never done that before but I would be nervous about it too no doubt–I’m such a rule follower 🙂

  • amy October 20, 2015 at 8:54 am

Your hair looks amazing! And I scrolled down and read your make up post..wow! what a transformation. I always wondered why you never wore make-up, but I was afraid to ask. The pictures your husband took are beautiful. I have that exact same scarf but I’ve never worn it outside the house. It’s so big, I find it cumbersome to wear so I use it at home as a blanket. I admire bloggers who actually wear it as a fashion piece! It takes some skill!

  • Elizabeth Hugen October 20, 2015 at 9:08 am

Such a comfy look! And yes…we’ve trespassed many times lol! Most people don’t mind (or don’t catch us ha!) but there was a time that a lady threatened to call the cops! We’re banned from that location. Oh, the things we do for a picture! Blogger/criminal LOL!

  • Shauna October 20, 2015 at 9:22 am

Love this post and your recent makeover, you look stunning! I also could relate a little to this story, as this weekend my husband and I took pictures outside of a historic building that is now used for condos. The condo salesperson told us we couldn’t take pictures of the condos, or apparently me by them, so we left. At least you got a thumps up!
