How I Style It: Wedding Guest Style

June 1, 2016

Welcome to How I Style It. This is a themed monthly blog hop that a few other bloggers and I have put together to show you how we style different outfits for different themes. Today’s theme is how to style for a wedding as a wedding guest.

IMG_5179I recently revealed in this post that it saves me money if I can shop one dress or outfit for a wedding but style it different ways for each wedding attending  just in case I happen to go to several weddings where the same guests are in attendance from the previous wedding. Make sense? Almost six years ago, the summer my hubby and I actually got married, I think we attended three weddings as well as have our own and as you can imagine all the friends knew each other so buying one item to style for each has saved us some money.

While I wore this same Shabby Apple dress for this wedding guest collaboration here, I wanted to share it again, styled in different colors and accessories. For this post I wanted to add some mint and pastel tones where the last style was more bright and filled with florals and pinks. Both looks are amazing but I wanted to get more use of my dress and share with you how I styled for “two wedding looks” even if I didn’t actually attend a wedding recently, but this gives me (and hopefully you) some inspiration for things to consider for wearing to a wedding.

Yes! Definitely buy a dress that is versatile to save money. I have been to 3 weddings this year and I am just lucky that I already have dresses in my closet that I have worn in other occasions which will look great in weddings as a guest also so that is just what I wore. 🙂
