I love trying out new ways to style a Little Black dress (see yesterdays style here), but one thing I have not tried yet is black with pops of color. Problem solved and recently my hubby and I went on a date and this became the perfect opportunity to style this lovely Calvin Klein dress with some pops of pink.
This pink purse steals the show, and was quite the steal itself. I got it from an online site called ifchic.com that I had read about through Grace and Amy whom did fun posts reviewing the site. This is my go to shop EVERYDAY! I go to this site everyday because it allows its viewers to search the site for 3 coins daily, and each coin is worth $2, so daily I collect $6 and this is added to my account. Then on ifchic24 or the 24th of each month I can use the coins I accumulated to shop for clothing, shoes or purses, but since I have been needing more colorful purses this is the way to go and this very purse was free with my coins. All I had to pay was $1 (not counted in my coin bank) towards it plus the shipping and handling, and this bag came within a few days from Cali. So this $6 purse was mine in a matter of days, and I love it. You should definitely try this site out. This is not a sponsored post I just love this site. I will even style my other ifchic purse tomorrow.
My pink Kendra Scott earrings add sprinkles to the top of this black and hints of pink look. All that I wish I had for these particular photos was pink heels. Perhaps one day i can recreate this look with just that, pink heels. Overall I just adore this look and the glam.
We went to take photos near and around our local luxurious hotel called Hotel Roanoke which we frequent a few times a year, especially around Christmas as there is normally a fantastic Christmas tree display inside. While my hubby and I can’t afford to set foot in the restaurants inside or even stay here (yet) we can still enjoy a free walk through of the hotel and its grounds and live a part of history as this hotel has so much. Instead we got coffee near by the hotel and enjoyed walking around with our drinks. One day on one of our anniversaries we would love to stay a night here, just to get away from the kiddos even if we live near it (when we have $200 for one night, geesh)!
My hubby needed to be in on the action of course, doesn’t he look spiffy and cute? We enjoyed our time at Hotel Roanoke and our time together (of course).

Sheree posted a beautiful post on her new found love for being a stay at home mom from recently leaving the work force and while I have seen a lot of battling on the blogs of SAHM moms and working moms I really appreciate and love Sheree’s love and respect for all moms and her genuine passion for her children and her own mother through this post. Plus her photos are just GORGEOUS! I wish her and her mom a Happy Birthday! Read post here.
Kirsten linked up a lovely all occasion event shirt and skirt combo that I was swooning over. Here she shares her need for wearing it as a wedding guest. What a lovely wedding guest look indeed. See post here.
Shea showcased 3 ways she styled and wore white jeans that I gathered some great inspiration and ideas from, see post here.
Zarouhi linked up an insightful post on how we can learn to love and appreciate our bodies and selves through positive self-body image and talking about the good in our bodies versus constantly pointing out the worst. Check out her tips and encouragement to love ourselves here.
