If you read yesterdays post then you are promised my New Years resolutions. I consider this post a CELEBRATION versus other feelings I felt previously on the topic but read on to find out what I mean.
Happy New Year!!! The past few weeks have been so busy that it’s hard to believe that we are here and in a new year. Did you make any New Years resolutions? If not what would you like to do or have happen? Perhaps you have a goal a month to work on, or want to pick up a new habit etc,. I would love to read what you have in store. I will share some of my resolutions tomorrow.
For today’s post I want to focus on some popular blog posts from last year. These posts were popular based on Google Analytics readings, most pinned or from my own personal preference. Many of my personal preference posts were created with a passion to share information that I came across, to posts that were brought on by inspiration from many of you, my readers. I hope that some of these posts inspired you and let me know below which post you liked.
Today I am sharing a unique post where several other fashionista moms and I have come together to share our “Christmas Cards” with you. Each photo of each fashionista and their child(ren) and will include a link back to blogs and a small blurb about what Christmas day means to each blogger. Join in on the fun and join me after Christmas as I will be taking next week off from posting! Have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!!!!! Enjoy the Christmas cards below.
I struggled to find a topic to post about today, therefore I was unmotivated to post as life has not conjured anything special lately except holiday fun and festivities. Then I thought why not share just some of the things I have done lately so that you get a glimpse into my life, hence the title “8 Things I have Done Recently.”
Today I have joined my good friend Becky and a few other bloggers for a blog hop where we buy “fun” or “splurge” items at Target with a budget of $10 for the month of December. This does not include Starbucks, groceries but rather items we consider fun or perhaps had on our wishlists.
Happy Tuesday! I didn’t have a post yesterday and will not for the rest of this week as we were away from home this past weekend and to be frank I haven’t had anything on my mind lately worth blogging but I am sure this week will lead to some thoughts. The holidays sure are busy. Today I want to share with you one of my FAVORITE easy and simple recipes and that is Corn Casserole. This recipe is one I make every Thanksgiving and Christmas for my parents household as my family loves it…and it only takes 4 ingredients.
Welcome to How I Style It. This is a themed monthly blog hop that a few other bloggers and I have put together to show you how we style different outfits for different themes. My blogging buddies and I came up with styling Christmas/Holiday colors so of course I had to pull out my most comfortable Christmas appropriate long sleeve plaid tunic top and wear holiday red lipstick.

Sunsets are so beautiful and a miracle for everyday just like my girls. With the time change and the sunset happening earlier finding evenings to do something as a family can often be challenging. Last week we spent some time by a river, playground and a walking trail before it darkened and grew chillier. This time in the evening allowed for stunning photos with my girls as they share some recent goodies they received from Shiloh Z Boutique.
Recently my family and I visited our local farmer’s market and local coffee shop and had a blast. My husband got his hands on a Carolina Reaper and Scorpion pepper from a local hot pepper business and the kids got cookies and apples. There is something about supporting local (even small) businesses that does the heart good. It feels like there are so many out there I just want to support them all. This post will highlight the reasons why you should support local businesses. Running any kind of business can either kick off slowly or right off the bat and do well. My husband ran a handyman business for a year and while he had regulars there were times we didn’t know who the next client would be. God always brought the right people or referrals along and we made it with four kids, but that business ended due to a new job (with employee benefits I might add).
Now that I run this blog as a hobby with some compensation from time to time and LipSense (the smudge proof, kiss proof long lasting up to 18 hour liquid lip stick) I know the pressures of the unknown but it’s definitely rewarding and fun. There are probably hundreds of reasons to support local businesses that I probably won’t touch on but I welcome your input or your take on why YOU should support them. The reasons below are my personal opinions or thoughts.
