Olive Jacket (Collaboration) & Link up

September 27, 2016

It’s officially fall and I am more than excited! Looking at these photos I am in awe at the beauty of the sunset, leaves falling to the ground and the fresh smells of fall. Fall is officially my favorite season and has been since childhood. I found my olive colored jacket in our basement and brought it back up singing the hallelujah chorus that it can finally can come out. Today I am styling the olive jacket in a collaboration with Shelbee of Shelbee on the Edge.

There isn’t anything special about this outfit, just basic black neutrals with a touch of olive. That’s how I like it for welcoming fall. In fact, I wore this outfit last Thursday (September 22) the first day of fall and the weather was PERFECT for it too. Fall days with a gentle breeze are amazing!

This jacket will definitely be making an appearance again and probably even next week with more black (imagine that). I am sorry for the short post today but life’s been crazy busy. Just know I love and think of you all and I thank you for your positive and uplifting comments each week and for linking up. I hope you enjoy Shelbee’s olive jacket style and I hope you will visit her blog, Shelbee on the Edge and welcome her and meet her as my co-host today. Happy Fall!!!

I am an over 40 stay-at-home mother of two boys and two cats named Dave and Frankie.  I also am an Army wife.  We currently are stationed at Fort Drum in the northern reaches of New York State where the summers are short and the winters are long, cold, and very snowy. I decided to start blogging during my husband’s deployment to Afghanistan as a means to reclaim some of the sanity I have lost trying to raise these boys in the midst of this extraordinary military lifestyle in this curious climate of the North Country!

My blog provides a welcoming forum for like-minded women and mothers to stop by to give and receive support and helpful insights into surviving this crazy, beautiful life. I discuss topics such as Army life, parenting, fashion and style, and mental health. In my little space, you are free to express yourself without judgments and showcase your own unique style without fear. Here’s hoping we can all find our own individual voices in each area of our lives. While I may teeter on the brink of sanity (and midlife), I still find ways to hang on and feel fabulous in the process! Please stop by for a bit and feel inspired!
