I didn’t want to think about blogging

March 14, 2016

Happy Monday! How was your weekend? Mine was very nice as the weather was great on Friday and Saturday with a rainy Sunday spent indoors with my in-laws. While lots of good things occurred I had little motivation to blog or be on social media which is good and healthy as life is about each other and family no? So here I am putting this post together a few hours before post publish time which rarely happens. Normally I am working on Wednesdays post about now.

I am IN LOVE with this kimono I recently received from NewChic. As my second kimono to grace my closet I couldn’t be more thrilled as I don’t know why I haven’t invested in more awhile back but this will be a new favorite clothing item for sure. It’s the perfect length for me and today I choose to layer it over jeggings and a pleated back button up shirt dress I recently digged up from my closet. I dressed up the look a bit with some darker eye make-up and a statement ring.

This kimono has a cool drop when arms are lifted up, however you can note from the pictures that the inside of the kimono sleeve is very visible (seam and fabric) and while that doesn’t bother me it might some people. But I love it regardless.

Lastly before I end this post I want to admit that I finally shared on several of my social medias this post and afterward I felt an overall relief. I don’t get upfront about my fears or beliefs much, but I needed to be obedient and do so. 2 Timothy 1:7 “For God heath not given us the spirit of fear but of power and love and a sound mind.”

What would you rather be doing if you weren’t blogging? What did you do this weekend?

Oh that kimono is beautiful! 🙂

I’m a big kimono fan, I’ve worn them so much this summer, and with the summer temperatures continuing into Autumn here there are still getting worn a lot!

You’re right too. Blogging is fun, but other things are always more important – it’s something I do in my downtime.

Girl I have yet to find a blogging schedule that works and start scheduling posts ahead so you are doing great. I am waiting on an order from New Chic so I hope everything I ordered works out. Love your new kimono and those cute flats – I have red ones like those.

    Happy Monday!

I love that kimono! I totally know what you mean too. I often go through blogging ruts. Especially at times like last week, and this week, when I have posts scheduled for everyday. It’s too much and truly overwhelming!! Hang in there!

Beautiful Kimono! And I love this verse! 🙂

Great kimono! I think when the weather turns nice, blog land really slows down. No one wants to be on their computers. They want to be outside enjoying the beautiful weather.

That kimono is gorgeous, love the color and style of it! I am excited to get some of my Spring kimonos back out soon. My weekend was pretty good, although I did work on the blog a lot! Altho, my kids are on Spring break this week- so now my plate is clean to be devoted to them fully this week!

That’s great that you got some time away from blogging and social media. We all need to remember to be a part of the world around us to be interesting bloggers. Plus, it didn’t put your posting schedule behind, so no harm, no foul. I love that kimono…it is too cute on you! Have a great rest of the week! #HelloMonday
