Jewelry talk

April 13, 2015

Happy Monday to you! I hope you had a great weekend! Mine was pretty well as last week was rough but I made it through.

If you are a fashion blogger do you have a hard time thinking up outfits and then find that once you have your photos taken in them that somehow it doesn’t look as good or the images aren’t clear enough? Well yesterday I had two outfits in mind. The first I wore to church and then because my hubby and I were tired and not feeling well the images came out with a glare because of the lighting and my facial expressions were meh so I changed outfits and my hubby suggested I get my friend that night to snap some photos, so I wore this outfit out with my best friend Kendall to get coffee and have some girl time and she was kind enough to get some photos, however none of the full outfit photos were clear enough so I provide you with one below, but otherwise I loved the pastel and spring colors of this outfit and loved just some girl time to reconnect and get away for a few hours.
Along with my girl time I enjoyed talking about my future passions and endeavors. I have been contemplating selling jewelry someday but don’t know the right route or what company to represent as I have looked at a few but haven’t found what I have been looking for or the jewelry is expensive and I don’t want that. I have been wondering about Paparazzi though. Do any of you have experience with Paparazzi jewelry or consultants? How did you start a jewelry business if you own one? The fact that I am interested in this is both exciting and scary and worth praying about. Any suggestions would be awesome.
I have bought lots of jewelry from the same businesses in the past and I respect the owners of many of them for what they do and how they give it their all. One such business is the owner (Leslie) of My Arm Charms. I admire her passion for this project to give ladies what they are looking for without the need to visit several stores to find the one piece they have in mind when her store offers all kinds of trendy bracelets to fit every lifestyle, price range, age, and make. In general the bracelets don’t break the bank, are very affordable and cute.
Here I am wearing two bracelets from this unique bracelet boutique. The layered chain and gem one is my most recent lovely wrist décor (see this bracelet here as it is super cute and $10) and I just loved how lovely it went with the “When In Rome” bracelet you see on the other hand (sold here for $14.99). While I have a few more bracelets from My Arm Charms as well as to other boutiques I liked these the best with the gold tones in my Kendra Scott earrings and I liked the hints of silver to go along with the silver contained with my Michael Kors handbag.

I highly recommend you try this boutique out to find the perfect spring or summer bracelet.

What did you do this past weekend?

Hands down, When In Rome is STILL one of my favorites in the boutique. I love the original look of the bracelet itself with the textured metal and raised, gold-tone Roman numerals. It’s just a different look that seems to play well with any outfit. The dual tone color make it practical for any outfit. I thought it really looked good on the post where you feature yourself wearing all black and the lariat necklace.
Thanks for recommending My Arm Charms where I strive to offer fashionable arm charm for every style situation!

I hate it when the photos don’t turn out the way you want! That being said, I don’t think anyone is as hard on them as you are. I love these and this it’s a great outfit!

My old hair dresser sells Paparazzi jewelry and makes a pretty good salary from it. Enough to quit hair dressing and she goes on some good trips. I really love the pastel pink and how it goes with that light sweater and those earrings I want of yours 🙂 I do get bad lighting on my photos somex and I usually just post them anyway a nd try to correct them in photoshop. It does tick me off tho, because I spend a lot of time dressing for them and dragging my husband out to take them 🙂

I hate when photos don’t turn out well, but I think these look great. You can tell you had a great time with your friend. Sometimes coffee with a girlfriend is exactly what you need!

Happens to us all! My photos have for sure turned out bad, but I think we tend to be way more critical! Loving this look, the light colors look so nice on you!

This look is so pretty on you, Rachel! I hate it when my photo shoots don’t go as planned (my most recent one will be addressed on my post tomorrow), so I totally understand. I hope you find a company you feel will help you succeed in your business venture. I will also pray about it for you, sweet friend.

I love this simple pastel outfit. But you are right it is the accessories that make this fun. Beautiful earrings, scarf and bracelet. You have been looking great in pastels lately, Rachel. =)
