How I Style It: Nautical style

Welcome to How I Style It. This is a themed monthly blog hop that a few other bloggers and I have put together to show you how we style different outfits for different themes. Today’s theme is nautical style.

The river you see in these photos is one we frequent at least once a week as a family as it has fun swimming holes and a rope swing that my kids enjoy (most of the time). Since I am sharing with you my nautical outfit I felt this location was appropriate to share with you because it has become a favorite spot to us.  Our family loves some recreational swimming during the summer and it’s free, so this place is the spot for swimming and water play.  I swear the hubby and kids would come here everyday if I would allow it.

Isn’t this top so cute? It is by Traffic People and is called “Nautical Meets Botanical” and definitely so. I love the length of the botanical back and am so glad I received this in my Le Tote box a month ago.

My nautical outfit is found in the blue throughout, fun tassel tied shorts, sea star charm bracelet and anchor earrings. No nautical outfit is complete without wedges or sandals and these glitter strap sandals from last summer’s Target collection are perfect.

What is your nautical style? Where do you and your family go swimming most of the summer?

LOVE the back of that shirt. I totally didn’t expect it from the first picture, but it’s so so cute! What a fun place to go with your family. We have SO many rivers and falls around where I live, but we never venture out to them. This makes me want to!

Rachel, what a great top! I love the mix of stripes and botanical! The length in the back is perfect, too. It would look awesome with skinny jeans, too, when the weather cools off. Thanks for linking up On the Edge of the Week. I hope to see you again next Friday! Have a fabulous weekend.
