High Five for (Thursday) Friday!

April 9, 2015

Happy Thursday! In case you were wondering or confused about the title today then let me clarify. Tomorrow is normally High Five for Friday with some of my blogging friends and because I have SO many pictures of Easter events and happenings I thought I would share these for this particular post, however tomorrow I am sharing a series called Budget Babes with Ada and Maria that today was the best day to do this High Five post. Pardon ahead of time all the cute photos, but I had to share my kids festivities for Easter weekend!

On Friday last week the Easter activities began for the kids, first by receiving baskets of candy and stuffed animals followed by an egg hunt in our front yard, which they enjoyed.

On Saturday we went to our churches Easter egg hunt, face painting, bounce house and lunch event open to the community at a local park.

It was a chilly morning and there were so many kids there from the community and our church that it was hard to find eggs (notice the displeasure on Nevaeh’s face, haha).

Then after the church event we headed to my in-laws for a big family dinner. Chantry’s mom, sister and Aunt were awesome enough and took the kids on a walk while my hubby and I and his brother remained kid free so we could enjoy time with the cousins and great grandpa.

Sunday was church service, and then lunch with my family followed by a walk and time spent together at a local park.

My dad, and yes we had pizza and chips for lunch. Coming from a family of 13 kids total and my parents and bringing in my 4 kiddos and hubby lunch had to be simple enough to feed everybody.

Then on Monday my first blog post on this new blog was launched, along with enjoying a plate of Girl Scout Thin Mints and iced coffee to celebrate!

The rest of the week was “bleh” but I did do a little spring cleaning and hubby took off work on Wednesday to do some school work and spend the day with us so that was nice.

How was your week?

Remember to come back tomorrow and every Friday to see how I style an outfit with one key item for $75 and under, tomorrows theme is Pastels.

My week has been okay – I have had a hard time adjusting to some recent changes, my boyfriend started a new job and has to leave earlier/gets home later than me to get to his new job. I feel like I haven’t been able to spend as much time with him during the week which is upsetting, but we are going to start having date nights during the week to solely focus on hanging out with one another and not our other side projects!
