High Five for Friday 7/17/2015

July 17, 2015

Yay for Friday! Boy what a week. This whole not having a second vehicle stuff has really kicked my butt and I had a lot of mood swings or pressure on me about life (needing another car, asking for help to borrow a car to get Nevaeh to camp, the kids being difficult about getting to bed, etc). My mind at the end of each night was fried. Here we are today though and another High Five for Friday post as I link up with my lovely blogging friends here, to share with you some parts of my week.

1). Thursday night was a more low-key night. After feeling stressed most of the week I just gave up trying to be perfect and made the kids sugar cookies (and for dinner…shhh….). Thats right, cookies, apples and chex mix was for dinner because sometimes you just have to step back and bring in some fun when you have felt awful for most of the week. More on this on Mondays post coming.

2). My husband and I splurged for once and took the kids to see Minion Movie on Saturday. It was cute but not as great as Despicable Me 1 & 2.

3). We took the kids to Chic-fil-a on Cow Appreciation day and got free meals for dressing up like cows.

4). Nevaeh went to her first camp for several days this week and had a blast. She is already eager to go next year. Here is her counselor Mrs. Debbie.

5). I did my post here on how to increase your followers on Bloglovin and got lots of awesome responses or feedback. Thanks so much!

Before I leave I thought you might be interested in knowing about my blogging friend Teresa’s giveaway opportunity to win a pair of sunglasses here. I am sure she would love it if you entered.

Have a good weekend!

I saw SO many people do the cow day thing at Chick Fil A on IG! I should have done it, too! Darn! I didn’t know about it till that day and I am just not motivated enough to figure out costumes the day of. Very cute! We have yet to see the minion movie, but the minions kind of annoy me so we saw Inside Out instead last weekend, which was really good!

So many fun things in this post! I think I need to have that for dinner once in awhile! Chick fil a is one of my favorites but we didn’t make it for cow appreciation day. I loved your post the other day on Bloglovin followers. Have a great weekend!

So sorry that you had a stressful week! Concerning the sugar cookies for dinner: it’s fine! Sometimes you just have to have some fun, and let it go. I haven’t seen Minions yet, but I want to. I am a little bit upset that you said it wasn’t as good as the others, but I still want to see it. Have a great weekend!
