Today I am sharing with you five things that I find meaningful or awesome over this past week, as part of “High Five for Friday” with some of my favorite blogging buddies, so here we go:
Memorial day weekend was filled with family time, celebrating my father-in-laws Birthday (see post here) and spending time with our neighbors swimming at one of our local rivers. While I wish I had photos of our actual swimming and picnic excursions on memorial day we didn’t bring our phones or cameras so just imagine cold water, sand and toys and loads of good sandwiches and chips, fruits and laughter.
On Tuesday I mentioned (here) that we FINALLY opened up our Etsy shop. View our shop here and get a discount on your order now through Tuesday with the code OPENDAY5 to get 5% off (not including shipping).
There have been so many doctors and dentist appointments the past two weeks. My Xander HATES brushing his teeth, he will scream and have a melt down- well you guessed it his dentist appointment was the same way and nothing got accomplished. After the appointment though and before bed Xander reached for his “complimentary” tooth brush and paste from the dental office and set up his own brush with tooth paste and attempted to brush on his own with little gags here and there- I had to get photos of it and he actually liked his photos taken during the process. GO XANDER! He even tried to floss and he allowed me to floss some of his teeth.
The winner of the Target Gift Card giveaway (from here) is Kelly Delrosso! Congrats Kelly! Thanks goes to all the bloggers who contributed (*psst..if you are a blogger and want to contribute $5-$20 towards giveaways like this in the future just contact me for collaboration rachel(dot)garay@me(dot)com). Thanks!
I didn’t post yesterday (Thursday) because after hosting a Birthday/Target giveaway and opening up an Etsy shop I just needed a break from worrying about a post for Thursday. I spent Wednesday night going to church which was much needed and I learned ALOT, that I can’t wait to learn more about and implement in my life. Details coming!
Last but not least, we are having a yard sale this coming Saturday and so a lot of Thursday night revolved around photographing favorite or “catchy” items to post online to advertise. Tonight will be full of more sorting through things to sell and getting things set up for a yard sale Saturday morning.
Thanks for reading about my week. What were some highlights in your week?
