Thank God it is Friday! This week has sure had its rough spots since my husband started back to school for summer sessions but there have been more good things in the week and so I will share those with you as part of the High Five For Friday link up, hosted by Tif, Katie, Della and Caitlin.
1). I was honored when Katie of this particular link up e-mailed me to let me know I was the featured blogger for today from last Friday’s link up. Thank you, thank you ladies!!! What an honor! When I asked Katie why I was featured she commented with “Because you are awesome” haha! Well how “awesome” is that. I hope you can link up a post about your week or five things in your week below. (see the link up link below).
2). My wonderful sister-in-law Jasmine started a fashion blog after months of talking about it and she recently asked me to help her get started. This past Wednesday she created her first post, so please stop by and wish her a hello- her blog is shoesandallthatjazz.wordpress.com. She is a lover of shoes, jewelry and purses. We share a love for Michael Kors, and many more designers and this girl has a basement closet filled with shoes and purses that her hubby (my brother-in-law) made for her so while she is a momma she is a fashionista at heart!!!
3). Nevaeh got out of school yesterday and made all A’s on her report card as well as pass her standardized tests with advanced scores woohoo! We are proud of you Nevaeh. I am also glad that I don’t have to worry about setting my alarm to get her on the bus as well, YAY!!!!
4). After promoting our Etsy shop opening last week we finally got our first buyer, woohoo! I already have a ton of ideas to add to the Etsy shop, like graphic coffee mugs and more cork boards for jewelry although I am debating about framing some. You can visit our Etsy store here. I am looking to run another sale either on 4th of July or that weekend so stay tuned for a sale and possibly new listings to the store before then.
5). Since it was a rainy week all week I decided Wednesday night to bake some sugar cookies using this recipe here. I substituted the 1 cup of butter for a cup of vegetable oil since we were out of butter. The kids and I made like 30 cookies I think or so it seems like it haha! We loved them. (See the picture above with two pans, there was actually three pans like this) and there are still cookies left in the fridge for those sugar craving moments.
What was your week like?
