Happy Halloween Eve everyone, I can’t believe tomorrow is the candy, costume fun filled day. My little family has a fun family costume theme put together but we will reveal what we are going as next week (fingers crossed it works out as we are still gathering up parts of the costumes here and there from the Halloween stores to things we already have to recycle. We still have a long way and a few more stores to visit). Yes we are procrastinators.
I am finally back with a High Five for Friday post, after weeks of being busy, sick myself and taking care of sick little ones these Friday posts got put on the back burner, but today it is back as I join my lovely friends for their High Five link up. Below is just parts of a recap of what my family and I have been up to.
A few weeks back I ordered this maroon hat from The Mint Julep with credit I had from a giveaway and from some extra money my hubby graciously let me spend haha! I had been looking for an oversized hat for the fall and what do you know I found a thrifted black one too. I am so happy to add to my hat collection as hats do add to an outfit.
If you remember from a few weeks ago I showed you my new home decor prints and shared a bit about Hands Producing Hope where these prints came from. In my post I mentioned a campaign that is going on and almost ending where you can help fund women in Rwanda get the education and empowerment they need in a world where they are second class citizens and “property” to their husbands. I encourage you to donate as tomorrow is the last day to help out. If you have an extra $5 or even $50 or more lying around I know this will help a single mother in Rwanda get what she needs. You can check out the campaign and even donate here. #HPHGOESTORWANDA
There was sickness in our home a week ago which left myself and three toddlers sick for a few days. Our little Max got so sick he needed to go to the ER. After a few hours and fever reducer meds he was diagnosed with croup and given a steroid to help. He felt better within two days (thank the Lord and for all your prayers).
My father and mother in law are pastors so their church celebrated the churches 50th Anniversary so it was a joy to be a part of this celebration. It was catered by Jimmy Johns sandwiches and boy did we have a good time as a church family. Aren’t they the cutest!
As you already learned Monday, we enjoyed going as a family and church family to one of the many local pumpkin farms and had a blast.
How has your week been? What are you going as for Halloween?
