Happiness in White with Olive

November 1, 2016

*Happiness Boutique sent me the following jewelry in exchange for a review, all opinions however are mine alone. Thank you for supporting the brands that support my blog.

Today’s outfit is inspired by Laura of Why I deClaire and you can click on her blog link to see why. I recently received jewelry I picked out from Happiness Boutique and loved that the pieces I got went so well with the white with olive look. You can read more about each piece below.

Happiness Boutique has some gorgeous jewelry, especially the necklaces. I had an amazing experience with Happiness Boutique in the past and knew I wanted to get another necklace that could be worn for all occasions and seasons and so my eyes landed on this Tranquil Rose Quartz long necklace. This necklace is light weight and while the description states that the quartz is rose colored I think it actually looks white in some lighting as well. Which is neat. While I was shopping online with Happiness Boutique I also added to the cart this white marble cuff bracelet because it looked so versatile and I thought that because I had nothing like it I would wear it often and it makes for a great cuff to layer with other bangles quite easily. My impressions of this cuff were first that I didn’t know how it would fit but it is stretchable to allow me to slip it on my arm with ease and it fits quite comfortably when on.

For my other accessories I added older bangles on my arms and wore my new favorite taupe suede ankle boots. With the olive jacket added on I felt pretty confident. Last week was notably a lazy week and so to get dressed up over the weekend and even straighten my hair and add on some makeup I felt like a million bucks. This is my happy look and how ironic that I choose to wear my Happiness Boutique jewelry right?

I want to do a post soon on how or what  you do to feel more confident or happy and welcome your input. For example, do you go on daily walks or runs and that makes you happy or do you find joy in meeting with your girl friends, etc?  If you give me any input leave it in the comments below along with permission to use your blog URL and your input as a quote, or feel free to e-mail me at rachel.garay@me.com to let me know what you have in mind. I may even be open to a multiple blog collaboration where we dress in what we consider our “Happy” or “Confident” outfits, but just let me know your thoughts.

I meant to share this  post last week but luckily Roxanne linked it up because wow to this outfit for her date night. PLUS she is wearing one of the colors from LipSense that she got from me recently! Stunning!
My look for today came from the inspiration of Laura’s white outfit with olive jacket from this post.
Marta’s post on dressing casually chic inspired me to think on how my own personal style is lately. How cute is her outfit?
Carrie looks amazing in this buffalo plaid jacket that she styled 2 ways. Check out the post here.
Kishina’s autumn color palette is so cute and makes me think of all things fall…which I believe was her point. Check out the post here.

This neutral outfit is so pretty on you, especially with the olive color from the jacket. I just selected a bracelet that is very similar to yours and I’ll be sharing it on Thursday. I love that necklace you have on, too!

  • Jennie November 1, 2016 at 10:07 am

This is a fabulous look for fall, Rachel. I really love how white and olive look so crisp and clean together. The idea of a collaboration for what makes you happy seems like an inspirational and fun post. Oh, and I like your new link-up photo – very pretty!

  • Casey Capra November 1, 2016 at 10:48 am

So cute! Your interpretation of “I Do DeClaire’s” outfit it perfect. I knew exactly what outfit you were talking about before I even scrolled far enough to see you post her picture.

For me, feeling happy and confident has a lot to do with how I am thinking about my life and my circumstances. For instance, when I am looking at my body with love and thankfulness, I am more focused on what I have or what I like about myself than areas that I don’t like. Another example is the way I look at my husband or my circumstances. Am I looking for the good? for the reasons to be thankful? Or am I focusing on/thinking about the things that are difficult, uncomfortable, or unpleasant?
Changing my perspective always makes me feel happier and more confident about myself and my life. (And I’m always a better wife when I’m happy and confident!;)

    Thanks for hosting, Rachel!

  • Jessica November 1, 2016 at 10:53 am

    The marble bracelet looks great.
Going out with my friends and doing my hobbies makes me happy. I love the idea of a happy outfit blog collaboration.

  • rosie November 1, 2016 at 10:55 am

    Life is just Rosie

  • Roxanne November 1, 2016 at 11:04 am

EEEP thanks for the feature! You’re seriously the sweetest I can’t tell you enough.

Happiness boutique! I love the sound of that. I NEED that pink necklace!

I love your hair like this, and the lip color is gorgeous. I agree with you – when I take some time to do my hair, put on some make up, and wear a fab outfit then I feel much more confident and put together. I also like to read motivational posts by other bloggers. Sometimes another person’s wisdom seeps in a little more than my own inner thoughts.

You’re absolutely free to use anything I say as a quote! And I’d love to do a confidence collab! You know where to find me.

I love the idea of a ‘happiness outfit’ collaboration. That’s a great idea especially if you’re going to do it in the winter months when staying happy during the darkest time of year is always a challenge for a lot of people.
