Birthday eyelet dress & arm charms

May 20, 2015

I can’t think God enough for His blessings lately (He knows what they are) but good things are ahead and I am just excited for it all. Thank you for the Birthday wishes this week my friends you are a lovely community and I can’t thank you enough.

I had a very low key and amazing Birthday, the kids were good, hubby was home and I couldn’t ask for anything else.

I actually wore this new Old Navy blue eyelet dress, and mint heels on my actual Birthday with my hubby. He took off work for that day and we had my sister Annalise watch the kids while we went out to Cheddars to eat (thanks Susan for the giftcard) and and while we were at there the waitress brought me some delicious cookies, complimentary for my Birthday, how sweet!  Then we went to Starbucks  so I could  get my free Birthday drink (perks of being a gold card status member of Starbucks) and so  I got a free venti java chip frappachino, yum!

I was also able to wear my favorite necklace and earring set from my blogging friend Amber’s jewelry boutique The Sparkle Exchange and some of my favorite arm charms from none other than my favorite arm candy store My Arm Charms Boutique.

My hubby and I couldn’t get enough of these bracelets especially the Sophie one, with the cuff closure and gold/silver lining (his personal favorite). He loved the bracelets as much as I do and so decided he LOVED the table at Cheddars as a place to shoot a few photos of these bracelets (and me) of course. Both are super easy to slide on and off and actually can be worn together as pictured below as well.

The waitress saw Chantry taking photos and asked if we were recently engaged and he said “no, we have been married almost 5 years, have four kids and my wife is a fashion blogger and she is posting this outfit and bracelets on her blog” the waitress said “how about that and aren’t you crazy to have four kids?!” haha! never a dull moment even with a waitress.

Thanks so much for stopping by and for all your comments. If you have not entered yet I have two fun giveaways going on and ending the middle of next week so hurry and enter the $25 Oakleigh Rose Style Boutique giveaway here, and $120 Target Gift card Giveaway here. Good luck to you too!

This navy eyelet dress is a stunner and you know I love the minty sandals. The gorgeous jewelry (all of it) is the icing on the cake. 2015 is your Style year, Rachel. The year to shine style-wise – I mean it. =)

You look cute in the dress. That color looks great on you. I love the bangle with the stones at the end! Brown and blue is just so stunning. Don’t worry about the waitress. Some women can’t imagine that someone can look great despite of 4 kids. Happy birthday and stay in style.

That dress is so pretty! I thought I saw a similar one to it at Target in a lime-yellow color, but I’m not sure if it was the exact same dress. I have never been to Cheddars, but I heard they have a hot cookie dessert that is to die for… we don’t have one in St. Louis, but there is one on the way to Columbia, MO, where Brian has some family.

Great story! The waitress actually believed you were a fashion blogger! You’re right, some people are so clueless!

I remember this outfit very well and also what the waitress said. Your hair has grown up so much. Both blue eyelet dresses are gorgeous (last year’s and this year’s). This outfit would be perfect for a Summer wedding too. You need to wear all these pieces, again. =)
