Election Day & link up

November 8, 2016

Happy Election Day! The picture above depicts almost exactly how I feel about this election. I am surprised my hair isn’t pulled out yet, but it’s here. I wasn’t going to vote at all BUT I prayed about it and while I don’t care for any of the candidates I am at least going to put my own biases aside for a bit and vote what I think will impact our children for the future.

I truly have nothing more to say about any of today but one thing I do know is that God is in control and only He knows who will be placed in office for the next four or eight years so I am just going with that.  Letting His will be done.

Did you vote?

I’m totally over this election too and can’t wait for it to be over…honestly each candidate has a ton of secrets and baggage, it really is picking the lesser of the two evils. You look great in this burgundy colored sweater.

  • amy November 8, 2016 at 10:13 am

In my entire life I have never seen an election that had two candidates no one liked and everyone couldn’t wait to be over with. No, I haven’t voted. I will later. I’m with you, I don’t like either candidates so I ultimately had to make my choice based on policy…which candidate supported the policies I believe in. Love your sweater!

  • Jess November 8, 2016 at 10:25 am

Such a cute look! Nervously waiting for the results tonight 🙂

  • Jennie November 8, 2016 at 2:02 pm

Cute casual look, Rachel! I really like the color of your sweater.

Going to vote today felt discouraging and not empowering like it has in the past. At least I know I did my part, especially as there are more positions and referendums on the ballot beyond the presidential one.

  • Laura November 8, 2016 at 2:44 pm

I was lucky to get in voting when there wasn’t a line today. I am so ready for it all to be over!

  • Casey Capra November 8, 2016 at 4:05 pm

I feel the same about the election!! I did end up voting though, even though I’m bummed that I can’t say I’m proud of where my vote went :/

Thanks for hosting, faithful as always!

  • Ruth November 8, 2016 at 5:25 pm

I did vote! I think even if you don’t want to it’s really important to do it. I watched Suffragette and saw that women died to get the right to vote and I feel like I owe it to them to do my duty! I love your sweater!

  • Vettae-Fée November 8, 2016 at 6:42 pm
