Easy 4 Ingredient Corn Casserole for Holidays

December 13, 2016

Happy Tuesday! I didn’t have a post yesterday and will not for the rest of this week as we were away from home this past weekend and to be frank I haven’t had anything on my mind lately worth blogging but I am sure this week will lead to some thoughts. The holidays sure are busy. Today I want to share with you one of my FAVORITE easy and simple recipes and that is Corn Casserole. This recipe is one I make every Thanksgiving and Christmas for my parents household as my family loves it…and it only takes 4 ingredients.

About five years ago I got this Corn Casserole recipe from a friend that got it from Paula Deen (however revised without using 1 cup sour cream or 1 to 1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar). Since getting this recipe I have been making it ever since. This past Thanksgiving I actually made it twice (for a church Thanksgiving dinner and my families) so for one of those preparation times I snagged a few photos for you to show you how simple it is and here is what you need.

1/2 Cup of Butter-melted

Corn bread/muffin mix (can get in a box at Kroger for 50 cents normally).

1 Can of Cream Corn

1 Can of Whole Kernel Corn

Step by Step:

First mix the 1 Can of Whole Kernel Corn with the cream corn

Next pour in the 1/2 cup of melted butter

Top with the corn muffin mix:

Stir the ingredients and then you are ready to put it in the 350 degree preheated oven for 45 minutes or until golden brown.

Finally Enjoy!

Have you made a corn casserole before? What do you put in yours?
