Dress for Success & Bloggers Who Have Inspired Me Link up

December 8, 2015

Today I am excited to be partnering up with ShopStyle and other Shop Style Collective Bloggers to bring you a good cause with an international non-profit organization called Dress for Success. Dress for Success empowers women of disadvantage globally to achieve and feel success in life and in work, through providing tools, support and more. I believe there is power in a community of other women and support groups, especially with parenting, looking for work or life advice, with that I am honored to share this organization with you and let you know how shopping and sales can help this organization.

Starting today (December 8th) and tomorrow (December 9th) if you see anything online or would like to shop then won’t you consider shopping with a Shop Style Collective Blogger in mind?  This is because 10% of the sales made from each purchase through a Shop Style Collective Blogger  (see disclaimer) will go toward Dress for Success AND guess what else….Shop Style will match that contribution. So if you spend $20 on a shirt, then I will donate $2 and Shop Style will match that $2 and on to a donation of $15,000. WOW! This is a Shop Style Bloggers Give Back special for sure.

As part of this helpful campaign, POPSUGAR owner of Shop Style (@shopstyle) thought it would be fun for each of it’s Shop Style Collective Bloggers to “Dress for Success,” where we share with you outfits that help us feel confident and successful. Today I am doing just that and sharing with you my “power outfit.” Then scroll down to meet two other bloggers participating in the challenge. (I will be hosting a special link up with these ladies tomorrow, but they are getting a heads start and posting the link up for you today so head on over to Denise’s blog to link up your power outfits).

This “power outfit” in these photos is nothing fancy but it is a look I strive to do more of and that is adding layers. I feel confident wearing clothing or accessories (scarves, sweaters, statement jewelry, etc) that I can layer to give an extra touch or polish to an outfit. As a stay-at-home mom (and blogger of Garay Treasures) it can be hard to get motivated to dress beyond a tee and jeans.  Adding that third layer makes me feel confident, put together, pretty and motivated towards a successful day.

You can shop some of the suggested layers in the images and links below and help in giving 10% of sales and more to Dress for Success. Thank you for reading and empowering women. @dressforsuccess

Meet two other bloggers below as they express their ways of dressing for success:

Meet Denise of Fashion Love Letters

dress for success 4

I graduated college with a degree in International Affairs and Middle Eastern Studies, and spent many years teaching and traveling overseas. I am not back stateside and created my blog as an outlet when I moved back from Korea. I currently am loving workwear and I find myself to be the most comfortable and confident in it. I love finding clothes that fit me well and hug my curves. Anything that fits me well makes me feel confident and allows me to be my best self. I believe that feeling confident comes from learning to find clothing that fits you well and embracing the body that you have!

Meet Liz from Style Wich

lizdressforsuccess

Not too long ago, I was a corporate attorney but my full time job at the moment is stay-at-home mom so my “power outfit” lately consists of comfortable pieces that still look polished like a structured coat, jeans that fit like a dream and high heels that I can run around in! I love colors and quirky details so I always throw in some fun accessories to complete the look and express my mood. I believe feeling confident comes naturally when you wear clothing that you love and feel comfortable in.

What outfits make you feel confident and successful?

*Purchases made from clicks help support this blog and Dress for Success, thank you for considering Shop Style.
