Coral Tunic 3 Ways with Tara Lynn’s

August 2, 2016

I love to get the most wear out of my tops and adore a piece more when it goes with everything from shorts, pants, leggings, skirts and by itself. Today I am doing just that and sharing with you 3 ways I styled this lovely coral colored Emily Tunic top from Tara Lynn’s Boutique.

This tunic was long enough that it could be a dress.  I was not as confident in the tunic styled this way as I felt it was a bit plain, but I know that later I can style it with a colorful infinity scarf or chambray top to give it more color.  For the sake of today’s post  I felt like adding cheetah print flats and statement jewelry to glam the tunic up more, however I think heels would have worked as well.

Like I mentioned above this tunic is long and hides my shorts or most of my skirts so I found that tying up one side is an interesting way to allow shorts or a skirt to be seen. My husband actually preferred my tunic being worn this way as he thought it was a creative way to share shorts under it.

I found this look to be fun. I gathered my hair in a messy side pony tail with loose strands, slipped on my embellished glitter sandals and Kendra Scott necklace. I wanted to go more relaxed and actually wore this to church last Wednesday (as I am a teacher and often times need to be comfortable with the little kids).

Finally I added white pants and wedged sandals for a more “out for the evening” look. This particular outfit was worn out and about one evening with my family and would you know we walked a lot, so my feet were killing me by the end of the evening, but my tunic and white pants were just fine and it wasn’t a humid day so that was a plus.

There you have it 3 ways I have styled a tunic. I know many more ways I will style it (jeans, leggings) but that is for another post and another day. For now you can get this same tunic in 10 other colors or another item from Tara Lynn’s Boutique, I love this pink midi tulle skirt and this graphic tee and get 15% off your entire order with the code RGaray.

How do you style your tunics in the summer? Fall?

*Tara Lynn’s Boutique provided me with the tunic in exchange for a review, however all opinions are mine alone. Thank you for supporting the brands that support my blog.

I’m with you, Rachel, when it comes to getting the most out of pieces in my closet. And when it comes to versatility it’s hard to beat the tunic. Loving yours and all the ways you’ve styled it! Beautiful color on you! You’ve nailed all three looks but I think I like #3 best!

  • Whitney 'Nic' james August 3, 2016 at 4:29 pm

Great color and I love the flats!

  • Nina August 3, 2016 at 10:07 pm

I really love how you styled it with those shorts! I never would have thought about the whole side knot idea!

  • Liz August 4, 2016 at 12:01 pm

I’ve been loving the versatility of tunic dresses this summer too. I especially like your tip of knotting it at the hip to shorten the length. It’s been so hot this summer that I’m dreaming of fall and wearing my tunics with leggings and skinny jeans to get even more wear out of them. Thanks for the tips!
