Candid shots, forgetful weekend & link up

May 3, 2016

I thought it would be fun to share with you a few candid shots of me as it is something I find amusing on the blog pages of other bloggers (even my co-host Ashleys) and because it highlights the imperfections of bloggers when all else seems perfect (in blog land) so here we go:

Sneezing is always the most natural and stylish way to pose.

Meditating?Sleeping?? or just eyes closed?

Let me change positions and hop over here.

“What did you say?”

“What was in those brownies?” (Just kidding)

Let me tie this first

Is that a bird? plane? superman?

This blog post is on point and too funny, let me tweet it.

Whoa what a weekend! It is Sunday evening and I am in a Starbucks wondering how I survived. I forgot almost everything..well not everything but a few things I depend on.

Let’s begin, Saturday was my son Alexanders 4th Birthday so we celebrated by going to my grandmother-in-laws home to camp on her land with our neighbors and what do you know I forgot our only debit card at home on the way there and so we resorted to buying x amount of stuff at Wal-mart just to get cash back when writing a check. It was stuff we needed, but geesh we depend on our debit card too much (insert shameful monkey emoji).

Camping, Birthday fun and neighbors was fun and so was visiting my in-laws church but then I forgot my purse at my in-laws once we got home Sunday evening (well today as I type this) so I had to drive 30 minutes out of my way again to get my purse…but this time had our debit card. Then my son Max forgot his blanket in our vehicle while I was getting my purse and so that made for a tough bedtime for him.

What have you been forgetting lately? Have you posted your candid blogging shots on the blog before?

Do you ever see an article of clothing that reminds you of clothing you owned from the past? This striped top did just that and so it was fun to take a trip down memory lane as I remembered owning a pencil skirt just like it. See post here.

Do you curl your hair often and wonder what hairstyles to do with it? Check out these from Sandy.

Pleated skirts in pink blush, styled for Spring, well you know I love this.

Probably the cutest cherry printed dress ever. See post here.

These are funny! I should do a candids post sometime, I haven’t yet. The photo bomber one happens often here! Lol! Or, my husband will take photos while I’m not ready, just to annoy me! I guess he thinks it’s funny! 😉 Glad you survived the weekend, ours was good… but, just so busy!!!

I can’t tell you how much I love your blooper photos — mine certainly out-number my “usable” ones most shoots so sometimes it’s healthy to kind of kick back and laugh at yourself and what a fun, hilarious, silly, and dorky profession this can be!

Thank you for hosting this link-up Rachel and for letting me co-host this week!

Fun post, love seeing people’s candid shots!

  • Leah May 3, 2016 at 8:41 am

I love these shots! Candid shots are my favorite because they are so authentic. Mine usually involve me with my legs in awkward positions, or facial expressions that my husband loves to poke fun at me for. Have a great day!

  • Shauna May 3, 2016 at 9:11 am

I always love these candid posts! So fun to see that every blogger has the same issues when taking pictures 🙂

  • amy May 3, 2016 at 9:50 am

Too funny! I especially love the looking up shot “Is it a bird or a plane?” Although I’ve done a couple of those shots myself, I do find them humorous…especially when a blogger I know does that pose all the time. That or looking down…what is so interesting on the ground to be looking at anyway?

  • Becky @ bybmg May 3, 2016 at 9:58 am

Those candid shots are too funny! Sounds like a fun weekend!

  • Jennie May 3, 2016 at 10:03 am

  • Jess May 3, 2016 at 10:58 am

Love the candid shots, usually mine are when I am making a face, I look mad or about to fall over from standing too long! Fun outfits and I like the shirtdress.

I love seeing blogger “outtakes” it’s always so fun 🙂 I feel like forgetfulness totally snowballs–when I forget one thing I usually soon forget something else… It’s neverending! 😉

  • Shelbee on the Edge May 3, 2016 at 1:26 pm

What a fun and silly post! Thanks for the chuckle. We celebrated my son’s 5th birthday on Saturday as well and hosted 50 people (23 kids) at our house! Oh boy, the one thing I definitely lost that day was my mind! But a great time was had by all and I am forever grateful for all the great friends in my life! Forgetful…that’s a mom’s way of life, isn’t it?! Keep on inspiring!

Gotta love blooper reels! I’ve been forgetting everything lately (major baby brain) – the worst is that I forget what I have told to whom (I swear I’m starting to feel like my Grandma). I basically have to start most of my sentences off with “I can’t remember if I told you this but…”

  • Lily S. May 5, 2016 at 1:21 am
