Budget Babes: Head-toToe White and Link up

May 22, 2015

budget babes white

Welcome to the last of this fun series called Budget Babes Friday where Ada, Maria and I style for under $75 (hence Budget Babes). Every Friday for the past few weeks we have been styling outfits with a theme that goes along with the trends of spring but we are going to show you how you don’t have to break the bank doing so. Today’s theme is styling head-to-toe white. If you missed the past two Fridays ago we styled floral dresses here and then black and white here. Before that we styled spring bags here, loafers the week before that here and the pastels theme here.

I love how all three of us are styling femine dresses (well except Ada’s which LOOKS like a dress but is in fact a skirt and top) but I love how we pulled off wearing similiar pieces with accessories accentuating the white. Please check out Ada and Maria’s looks and to see what their budget was with each piece by clicking on their links above. Now for the scoop on mine.

I wore this  lace dress the same day for my photo shoot for my Birthday post and giveaway celebration here, I just changed the accessories out and shoes to add the look you see now.

I choose to wear my new Birthday gift (Kendra Scott necklace) and add some nude colored wedges so that there wasn’t too much white worn and simply because I don’t own any white footwear so there.

I actually wore this to a graduation party for a cousin by marriage as he celebrated graduting from Virginia Tech (woohoo). That day was so very hot so I was glad my hubby had suggested this dress and these wedges for a day out and about and for the party which was a mix of outdoors and indoors this past weekend.

I will be honest, while I love this look I am so pasty white that I almost can’t stand it and add on more white and you know I could scare Casper. Either that or he might ask me to be his girl{friend} but you get the point.

What was my budget on this scary but lovely all white number:

Dress: clearance at my local Target for $8.50 (same” target=”_blank”>same)

Necklace: Kendra Scott Mother of Pearl White Rayne Necklace: was in my Rocksbox collaboration but since it is being kept all I pay is $29 (find out why it is so cheap for me here, and sign up to get a month free of jewelry valued at $200 with Rocksbox with the code garaytreasuresxoxo).

Bracelet: (that you can’t see) Sophie Harper Pave Bar bracelet c/o via Rocksbox (free but will return at the end of this month).

Earrings:(that you can’t see) Sophie Harper Pave Gold Studes c/o via Rocksbox (free but will return at the end of this month).

Wedges: thrifted at a Goodwill Outlet last summer for $1.50.

Overall price of this outfit: $39. Not bad! However I kept under the $75 budget.
