Things happen with coffee (shops) + link up & giveaway

August 25, 2015

Where is your go- to place to go and get things done, think on life, do quiet times? For me it is my local coffee shops. Coffee shops and I have a love relationship, we go way back.  In college I frequented coffee shops twice a day to get my assignments completed, study and read my Bible. When I was teaching this was my go to place to complete IEP’s (I was a former preschool special education teacher), do lesson planning and weekly planning. Since ending my teaching career (for now) I have been using this blog as a sort of business endeavor and hobby.

Sometimes to fully recharge and consider the posts I want to create or even work on I need time away from home just to get more done.

My hubby knows how important time away can be for me away from the kids so at least once a week I spend an hour or two in a coffee shop and plan out blog posts, e-mail, complete a post and read other blogs & keep up with social media.

To enjoy myself even more I like to get dolled up (however on some occasions I wear sweats depending on how late I am out) and just sit in a coffee shop. I like to bring a jacket or chambray to keep me warm as some coffee shops (like Starbucks) get chilly. There is nothing better than a cup of iced coffee and looking and feeling my best  to make my blogging time better.

For this particular coffee outing I decided on wearing one of the pair of Firmoo glasses that I already reviewed and showed you on the blog here and thought I would add some leopard print into the mix to match the frames a bit. The result was pretty cute and I thought made me look rather studious. I can’t get enough on how cute these glasses are with this look, especially with my hair up in the coffee shop. What do you think?

I have teamed up with Firmoo yet again to bring one lucky reader a pair of new eyeglasses of their choice from the link here. Glasses include the frames, standard 1.50 index single vision lenses. Upgraded lenses and add-ons will be charged for an extra fee. With free shipping to the USA, what a deal! So enter today or check out Firmoo more here and be sure to enter below in the Rafflecopter box (some entries can be done daily for extra entries, but as always all entries are better than none for a chance to win). The winner will be notified by e-mail from me with their voucher code after the giveaway and will have 48 hours to respond or a new entrant will be chosen. Entries will be verified.

I should do this more often, I bet I would get a lot more done on the blog at a coffee shop where I could really focus. I would love a pair of their tortoise glasses or I would share it with my mom and let her select a pair. Thanks for the giveaway!! I really need to try layering my chambray tops over my dresses more like you do!

  • Bad Taste Toast August 25, 2015 at 9:49 am

Oh yes, I live on coffee so I hang out in coffee shops all of the time! There are so many hip new cafes popping up in Perth, so I love to go and find new cozy places. Unfortunately I don’t have a laptop at the moment so I just take a book with me or use my phone while enjoying my coffee. 🙂

I like your casual and cute everyday look with the leopard shoes, very nice!
Firmoo is a partner of mine too so I don’t take part in the giveaway. 😉
