I CANNOT believe it! I am the BIG 3-O today. While I thought this new age would be intimidating and somehow make me feel as old as the moon I have been recently assured that 30 is a great and fun age and how with every year onward from 40 to 100 has its great moments and that we are only as young as we feel and live. I hope I can live that statement out.
I am just in love with this new lace detailed dress I recently got at Target on clearance for $8.50 and these new heels from Twice which were free with a Twice store credit I got ages ago and never used until recently to get these beauties. Pop on some sparkly gold jewelry and a Birthday outfit is made! I couldn’t be happier with it.
If you will remember last Monday here, I mentioned that I wanted to talk about first fruits, meaning I wanted to tie in what I have been learning from Gods word or while in prayer. I guess I couldn’t come up with anything truly Birthday related for this first fuits part of the post other than Jesus started His ministry at 30 (smile). To be serious what I have been learning is that God answers us when we pray specifically in our hearts for something. I am still trying to figure that something out for myself. I was moved by the story of Abraham and his faithful servant and the meeting of Rebekah to marry Abrahams son Isaac (Genesis 24). I learned of the specific prayers of the servant for knowing which wife to find for his masters son Isaac and I loved even more Rebekah’s response (the wife to be chosen) how she ran to fulfill the specific duties prayed for from the servant in several instances in this passage and submitted to leave her land and marry an unknown man. Thus, the prayers of the servant were answered for his master Abraham and Isaac.
Taking the story mentioned above and what I have learned I wonder just what specific things God could be showing me or leading me to pray specifically for. While I don’t quite know I know one thing is for sure and that is I need to have faith in Him, and trust in Him for what he will do as I submit myself to him and the unknown like Rebekah did.
Thanks for reading today. My hubby took of work for the day and so I can’t wait to tell you about what all we shall do on this Birthday tomorrow.
