$10 at Target & link up

May 16, 2016

Today I have joined my good friend Becky and a few other bloggers for a blog hop where we buy “fun” or “splurge” items at Target with a budget of $10 for the month. This does not include Starbucks, groceries but rather items we consider fun or perhaps had on our wishlists.

To be honest I spent way over my budget of $10 at Target with it being mothers day and my Birthday month so I did buy a few dresses and other decor as my presents to myself as I rarely shop for clothing alone. Aside from dresses for the celebrations of the month of May I did set aside my $10 fun money for other things other than birthday to myself gifts and below is what I came up with.

Before I show you what I purchased I must convey that I did not save the receipts or take photos of the receipts so you will just have to trust me that the products are the price that they are. I love Target that much so I didn’t buy these items all together.

Ready to see what I bought?

When I did my dress shopping I originally put this $3 bin wooden star plaque in my cart and since I was already spending quite a bit of money I decided against it and put it back. I kept thinking about the star and decided next time I went to Target I would get it and what do you know there was one left the next time I went to Target so of course I snagged it for $3. I guess it was one of those “if you can’t get an item off your mind it was meant to be bought” syndrome. I get those here and there.

I have been looking for a good black and white striped tee for awhile now as the current one I own is several years old and a bit tight. I wanted something more loose and almost boyfriend like in style and fit and this tee above fit the need and it was on clearance for $6.30 so of course I bought it. Plus stripes are currently on trend and have been forever if I can recall. ;).

With my red card I would say I spent close to $9.25ish for the two items , which is good considering the amount I spent on the dresses and Birthday presents for my babies the previous shopping trip.

Come back tomorrow and Wednesday to see the dresses I bought.

What will you spend $10 on at Target?

Now below the other hosts and myself are doing a $10 at Target link up for your budgeted Target posts.

Two great finds for under $10! I really like the striped tee and know you will get tons of use out if it. I feel like I can always use another black and white striped tee as there are so many different variations on the width of stripes. Have a wonderful Monday, Rachel!

I love both items you got, especially that great tee! For six buck you know you will get a ton of wear out of it! I have a similar one that’s gray and white stripes, also from Target. You can’t beat that place 🙂

Loving the striped tee… I’m pretty sure I pinned that the other day with the intent to remember to go back and buy it! Hah!! I have a similar tee, it has a crew neck though, bought it a few months ago, also at Target!!

I love the whole $10 splurge notion, it’s a darling way to “treat yoself.” I think I need to implement something similar… to keep things interesting! And fun!

I need to do this $10 Target shopping trip sometime for fun! I love that wooden star, I would be thinking up ideas on how to personalize it with my Silhouette machine! lol! And, I just got a new striped tee at the outlet store… but, the thicker stripes on mine are black and the thinner ones are white. Enjoy your goodies!
